(Austin, TX) - Brian "Raydar" Ellis, Professor of Hip Hop and Jazz at Berklee College, led an innovative SXSW panel exploring the original mash-up of two distinct musical genres and culture's entitled "The Intersection of Hip Hop & Jazz". An esteemed line-up of noted Jazz and Hip Hop artists and historians including Meghan Stabile (Revive MusicGroup),Andre Torres (Editor of Wax Poetics), DJ Logic and Miles Davis Properties, LLC representative's Erin Davis (son of Miles Davis) and Vince Wilburn, Jr. (nephew of Miles Davis) weighed in on this topic which is currently generating industry heat.

Special surprise guests Fishbone stopped by at the end of the panel to also support the topic. Fishbone was at SXSW to perform with Wu Tang and Erykah Badu and also roll out their documentary "Every Day Sunshine" The Story of Fishbone."
