The Truth According To The Mick Donovan Band
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ JMD Records) What is 'The Truth'? For The Mick Donovan Band, it's both a song and a testament to their commitment to music. These boys from the San Francisco Bay Area are adamant about staying afloat in the music business, bringing their brand of adult contemporary/hard rock sensibility to listeners always wanting something new.

Who is The Mick Donovan Band (MDB)?

First up, Mick Donovan: the band's lead vocals who also plays the guitar and piano. The singer-songwriter graduated with a music degree and in 2001, he moved to San Francisco to start his musical career. He joined a regional music theater and then formed a hard rock band called Liquid in 2005. Even as an active member of Liquid, he joined singing and songwriting competitions which got him recognized. In 2009, with Liquid drummer Chris Sfarzo, Mick was joined by Erik Ezrin and John Walden, and they became The Mick Donovan Band.

MDB's Erik Ezrin is the band's lead guitarist. This Oakland, California native always had a passion for music. He began dabbling with it at just four years old, learned the clarinet and music theory at nine, and studied guitar at 14. When Erik was 17, he joined the United States Marine Corps, but after eight years of service, clearly, Erik still wanted to pursue music.

John Walden completes the MDB. John is in charge of the bass and drums. His various formal music studies (lessons with Ray Fransen of Fransen's Drum Center and guitar studies with Mandy Flowers) give The Mick Donovan Band an extremely well-sharpened music edge. No wonder, since this New Orleans native is a fluid bassist and solid drummer.

Together, Mick, Erik, and John form The Mick Donovan Band. With their first single 'The Truth' from their self-titled CD, MDB promises to deliver the right music chemistry that would make the world stop and listen. Interestingly enough, it's just like the message of their single 'The Truth' - about finding the right path for you. For The Mick Donovan Band, they found their path and that's making music that counts. And that's the truth.

The Mick Donovan Band's self-titled CD is available at iTunes distributed through JMD Records and INgrooves (a partner of Universal Music Group.)
