New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ ASCAP) ASCAP (the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) is now accepting submissions for the ASCAP Deems Taylor Awards Competition for books, articles, liner notes, broadcasts and websites on the subject of music. The deadline for submissions is June 1, 2011.

The ASCAP Deems Taylor Awards program recognizes books, articles, liner notes, broadcasts and websites on the subject of music selected for their excellence. The Awards were established in 1967 to honor the memory of composer/critic/commentator Deems Taylor who died in 1966 after a distinguished career that included six years as President of ASCAP.
