According to the rumour mill, the band has broken up. Tremonti is said to have inked his solo deal soon after the now infamous Chicago concert where Stapp rolled around the stage before stopping the show short. Apparently Tremonti told Stapp after 10 years he needs to move on. Stapp's solo album is due out by the end of the year. Tremonti anticipates a late summer date for his solo effort. When contacted, Wind-Up records denied the break-up of Creed. "Creed has not broken up," reads the Wind-Up statement. "Scott Stapp and Mark Tremonti are currently dedicating themselves to their respective solo projects, but the band is very much together.
