On April 9 Winds From The South Will Weave Magic In All Directions At Alice Tully Hall With DCINY
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Distinguished Concerts International New York) "Music is well said to be the speech of angels⤦it brings us near to the infinite". This eloquent expression will find resonance on April 9, 2011, at 8:00 pm at Alice Tully Hall when nationally acclaimed woodwind, brass, and percussion players enthrall you with Winds from the South. You will be treated to a rare and distinct combination of bold, stunning colors, remarkable depth, and incredible virtuosity. Watch how these elements come together to create a new, rich, and diverse musical experience.

Driven by passion, attention to detail, and an ingrained faith in the enormous talent of artists, Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY) continues to take musical experiences to iconic heights. Even after a quarter of a century in musical entertainment and earning the distinction of being an inimitable producer of world-class musical talent, they continue to break new ground. It is this earnest attempt that defines each and every performance on stage.

After riveting audiences at the Florida Music Educators Association Conference in 2007 and Carnegie Hall in 2008, it is now time for 45 of the most accomplished woodwind, brass, and percussion players at UNF to touch new highs in traditional wind literature in New York. With the exceptionally gifted Gordon R. Brock, Chair of the Department of Music and Director of Bands at University of North Florida (Jacksonville, FL), conducting the Wind Symphony, your delight will know no bounds.

With the Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony (Georgia), you are guaranteed a musical journey that is as unique and endearing as their objective. After enhancing the life of high school students in the Atlanta metropolitan area with a positive musical experience, it's time for them to jazz up your life. With multi-faceted music director and composer Scott Stewart at the helm, the music of the Atlanta's ambassadors of culture and youth performance is all set to inject freshness and verve into your life.

Think wind literature will not lift your spirits? Here's some concert band literature with a twist. The Grand Street Community Band (Brooklyn, NY) is an ensembleof talented musicians that promises to tantalize your imagination with enthralling performances of concert band literature. It's just not their music that will impress you; their camaraderie and spirit is just as crackling. Watch how this close-knit group reinforces the feelings of community spirit while keeping classical music alive in the hearts and minds of listeners.
