Avril 'mall' tour kicks off

NEW YORK (Avril Lavigne Official Website) - Avril Lavigne's secretive "Live and By Surprise Tour" of shopping malls kicks off today in Minneapolis. The singer will be performing a six-song acoustic set in each of 21 yet-to-be-revealed cities. Fans can sign up at www.avrillavigne.net for details.

Avril has completed her eagerly anticipated second album, entitled Under My Skin - follow-up to her 2002 debut album Let Go which sold 14 million copies worldwide- and will personally set the stage for the new album's May 25th release with a unique series of mall appearances across the country called: "Avril Live and By Surprise: Presented By AOL For Broadband"

Avril will perform acoustic versions of three of Avril's earlier songs and three songs from Under My Skin, including the new single, "Don't Tell Me," which impacts at AC and Pop radio on March 15th. "Don't Tell Me" was co-written by Avril and Evan Taubenfeld, and was produced by Butch Walker (of Marvelous 3).
