Grandpa Was A Lion Releases Debut LP 'The Whalestoe Tapes'

Detroit, MI (Top40 Charts/ Justin D'Onofrio Official Website) Justin D'Onofrio. 24 years old. From Goshen, Connecticut, a small rural town located in the north-west corner of the state. A college drop-out who worked for his uncle painting houses and saved up money to move to Brooklyn. Lived in Brooklyn for a year and worked with a producer in the city but didn't like the way his songs were being bent to the producers ear. It was a wonderful experience and he learned a lot but in the end decided it was not for him.

So he left New York and came back home and armed with a used ibook, a USB plug-in mic , his dad's old Luxman K-1 tape deck, a Funmaker Custom Wurlitzer Organ and his guitar he began writing and recording what would become "The Whalestoe Tapes". The songs stand now as basement or bedroom recordings but his hope is to bring them up from the basement into the light, so to speak.
