The Art Institutes Announces Partnership With Bonnaroo Music And Arts Festival
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Art Institutes/ Big Hassle Media) The Art Institutes, Superfly Presents and A.C. Entertainment are excited to announce that The Art Institutes schools and the 2011 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival have formed a creative partnership. A first-of-its-kind partnership, students from Art Institutes schools will contribute creative services to North America's largest music festival in a project dubbed "Student Studio: Bonnaroo."

Central to the creative partnership as a part of "Student Studio: Bonnaroo," Art Institutes students will embark on a series of 15 festival projects ranging from creating merchandise design, to shade structure design concepts and creation of a sustainable fashion line. Upon completion, the student work will be utilized during Bonnaroo festival weekend, June 9 - 12. The Art Institutes projects will also be displayed on Bonnaroo.com and other digital channels.

"Bonnaroo is thrilled to be working with The Art Institutes. We continue to be impressed by the level of talent and innovative thinking of the students and look forward to sharing their ideas and creative impact on the Festival with our community," said Chad Issaq of Superfly Marketing Group, Bonnaroo's marketing and partnerships division.

To give Bonnaroo fans a glimpse of the "Student Studio: Bonnaroo" creative undertaking, The Art Institutes is documenting student participation throughout the entire process - from the first creative briefing that students had with the Bonnaroo team to the last design touch ups before the start of the Festival. Log onto The Art Institutes Student Studio website, www.artinstitutes.edu/student-studio.aspx, to learn more about the Bonnaroo partnership and follow the students on their creative journey.

In celebration of Bonnaroo's 10th year, The Art Institutes is sponsoring five design contests that will enable Bonnaroo fans to make a creative impact on the 2011 event. Dubbed "Project Bonnaroo" and managed by the Bonnaroo organization, fans will be able to submit their creative ideas for five categories: recycling station design, lighting structure design and three iconic art projects. Winning selections will be featured at the Festival.
For more information on how to participate in Project Bonnaroo and for official rules, visit https://www.bonnaroo.com/projectbonnaroo.

The deadline for entries into the competition is April 29, 2011 at 10PM ET.

John Mazzoni, President of The Art Institutes, commented, "The Art Institutes' partnership with Bonnaroo provides the opportunity for our students to advance classroom lessons into practical experience within their fields of study. It is especially exciting for the students to work alongside successful creative professionals at one of the most prestigious U.S. music festivals. We are proud of the many contributions that our students will make at Bonnaroo. We are equally proud of the career advancing skills and experience this partnership between The Art Institutes and Bonnaroo affords our high potential students."
