DUBLIN, Ireland (Westlife Fans Website) - Singer Bryan McFadden told a press conference in Dublin on Tuesday that he is leaving boy band Westlife to spend more time with his wife and two baby daughters.
The four remaining band members have said they are "devastated" by the news and they are to go ahead with their upcoming four-month world tour without him.

McFadden, Kian Egan, 23, Mark Feehily, 23, Nicky Byrne, 25, and Shane Filan, 24, first emerged into the pop world five years ago. Their first single Swear It Again was an instant hit and was followed by Flying Without Wings, Queen Of My Heart and Uptown Girl.

Press reports predicted he would join wife Kerry, former singer with girl group Atomic Kitten. "At the weekend he sat down and talked it through with the band. He's not doing the tour but he might do something in Ireland. That remains to be seen," the McFadden agent said.
