NEW YORK (Smashing Pumpkins Fans Website) - Former Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan will make his solo acoustic debut with a concert in his hometown of Chicago next month.

Fans website reports that the 19 April show at the Metro will be filmed for possible inclusion on an upcoming DVD; sessions next month for Corgan's solo album will also be filmed.
Writing about the album on his official website, Corgan said: "The best feeling is that I am in new territory (for me), and I wake up everyday, tired as I am, looking forward to going to work. I feel this music will be very close to me and who I am, and when you find yourself in those places it is a very good thing."
