New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Julie Feeney stands alone as a performer who is as well-versed in psychoanalysis, fashion and the science of sound as she is in the artists -
David Bowie, Laurie Anderson,
Sinead O'Connor and Beethoven among them - whose work seeps into her own stunning compositions.
Feeney, already a star in her native Ireland, will speak at the Berklee College of Music's Rethink Music conference in Boston on April 27. She will discuss ancillary revenue streams for independent artists - a label that comes closest to describing the indescribable Feeney.
*Feeney has three master's degrees in Music and Media Technologies, Psychoanalysis, and Sonology (the study of sound), as well as degrees in Music, Education and Psychology.
*For her new album 'pages,' out May 31 on her label, mittens, Feeney conducted strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion from the Irish Chamber Orchestra, then sang over the music she had composed and recorded - all in one six-hour session.

*The "charming, urbane and dreamy" (NYT's Ben Ratliff) Feeney has collaborated with high-profile designers including Piers Atkinso and Joanne Hynes, even transforming her orchestral sheet music from 'pages' into a jaw-dropping dress.
*A gifted music educator with experience on the university level, Feeney will host "High Fidelity: A Century of Song," a 26-part Irish national radio series that begins May 16 on RTE Lyric FM.
