NEW YORK (Rush Fans Website) - State prosecutors Monday charged the lead guitarist of the Rush with two counts of battery on police during a New Years Eve party in a plush North Naples hotel.

Alex Zivojinovich, 50 - who goes by the stage name Alex Lifeson - of North Naples, faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison on each charge if convicted.

Prosecutors charged his son, Justin Shawn Zivojinovich, 33, of Canada, with one count of resisting arrest with violence, a charge that carries a maximum five-year prison sentence.
His son was also zapped with stun guns. State prosecutors have also charged the sons wife, Michelle Zivojinovich, 30, with a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest without violence.
Their trials have tentatively been scheduled for mid-May.
