Grouplove Announce US Headlining Dates For June 2011
NEW YORK, NY (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records) Los Angeles-based band Grouplove have announced a run of U.S. headlining dates following their main support slot on the NME Radar Tour in the UK, which begins next week. The U.S. tour will kick off with a hometown show on June 3rd at Satellite in Los Angeles, CA, and wrap up on June 18th at the Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY (see tour itinerary below). Walk The Moon will be supporting on all dates.

Heralded by NME as one of the "Best New Bands of 2010," Grouplove closed last year touring the U.S. with The Joy Formidable and being handpicked to open a number of West Coast dates for Florence + The Machine. Since then, the band has been on the road nearly non-stop in support of their self-titled debut EP, released in January via Canvasback Music. SPIN declared Grouplove "a band to watch in 2011" and called their track "Colours" "one of the most infectious songs you're bound to hear." "Colours" went to #1 on SiriusXM's Alt Nation, the satellite radio network's premiere alternative channel, and the band scored a pair of national television appearances, performing the song on NBC's "Last Call With Carson Daly" and Fuel TV's "The Daily Habit." Other staunch supporters include tastemaker station KCRW in Los Angeles, who invited the band to perform in-studio on their signature daily music show "Morning Becomes Eclectic." Following an extensive tour through Europe and a slate of standout performances at this year's SXSW, Grouplove co-headlined a sold-out cross country U.S. tour with Foster The People.

Grouplove's summer schedule is quickly filling up with high-profile appearances at major music festivals around the world, including Lollapalooza and Outside Lands in the U.S. and Glastonbury in the UK with many more to be announced shortly. More details to come on their debut full length, due in September.
