Oh Land is set to open for the eclectic singer when the U.S. tour kicks off in Minneapolis on July 21st through the rest of the summer.
Oh Land is one of the most talked about new artists for 2011 with her whimsical mix of layered vocal loops, electro-pop beats and her tech-savvy captivating live performance.
We Are Born earned accolades and was a year-end favorite on music critics list in 2010: The Associated Press praised it as "one of the best albums of the year" and Spin magazine stated, "the album is full of up-tempo electro-pop jams..." The album features the up-tempo, "Clap Your Hands" the hauntingly beautiful, "I'm In Here" , an emotive Madonna cover "Oh Father" and other sophisticated pop tracks. We Are Born features contributions from Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi.
Sia's current single is "You've Changed" , and she is slated to appear on NBC's new highly-rated reality hit show, The Voice in May, as one of Christina Aguilera's advisors.
Fans have long supported Sia, loyally following her career from Zero 7 and Six Feet Under's "Breathe Me" to early last year when she headlined a sold-out U.S. tour. The talented singer-songwriter continues to captivate new audiences with collaborations and songs on other projects. She received a 2011 Golden Globe "Best Original Song" nomination for "Bound to You," (a song she co-wrote with Christina Aguilera) from the film Burlesque.
