Lavo New York: Calvin Harris - May 5, Steve Aoki - May 19
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ LAVO NY) LAVO New York has two huge dates coming up this month, with still more to be announced soon. On Thursday, May 5th, Calvin Harris takes to the decks, then Steve Aoki on Thursday, May 19th.

The King of Electropop Calvin Harris is bringing his irresistibly infectious tracks to LAVO's intimate dancefloor. A master of dance-pop tunes built from juicy staccato synths and squelchy electro basslines, Calvin's hit anthems include "Acceptable in the 80s," "The Girls" and "I'm Not Alone." An in-demand producer and remixer, he has created hit tracks for Kylie Minogue, toured with Rihanna, collaborated with Dizzee Rascal, and remixed the likes of Cut Copy, The Ting Tings, Groove Armada, Katy Perry and Kelis. His debut album 'I Created Disco' (2007) reached gold status and latest album 'Ready For The Weekend' (2009) introduced his stadium-sized sound with massive riffs, big hands-in-the-air moments, and almost overnight the album reached No 1 in the UK. Meanwhile, this NME Award winner is soon to release his third album, already giving fans a taste with "Awooga" and "Bounce" with Kelis out soon.

Bringing his high-voltage energy to LAVO for the first time, Steve Aoki is the man behind Dim Mak Records, credited for launching the careers of Bloc Party, The Kills, Klaxons, MSTRKRFT, The Bloody Beetroots, Mystery Jets, The Rakes, The Gossip and more. As a DJ/producer, he has remixed Michael Jackson, The Killers, Robin Thicke, Lenny Kravitz, Duran Duran and Timbaland, Chester French, All American Rejects, Chris Cornell, and has collaborated with Armand Van Helden, Laidback Luke, Afrojack, Boys Noize, The Faint, D.i.M., The Bloody Beetroots and Junkie XL. His 2008 debut mix album, 'Pillowface and His Airplane Chronicles,' was followed by an Essential mix on BBC Radio 1. Also involved in fashion, Aoki has developed lines for KR3W Apparel, Supra Footwear, headphones for WESC, sunglasses with KSUBI, headwear with NEFF, bags with Burton and a brand new mens/women's range with his sister Devon. Steve Aoki recently released a video for the electro-frenzied dance track "Turbulence" with Laidback Luke feat. Lil Jon.
