Mojo & The Bayou Gypsies Headline International Cajun & Zydeco Festival In The Netherlands!
CHICAGO and RAAMSDONKSVEER, Netherlands (Top40 Charts/ MOJO & The Bayou Gypsies) Performing their all-original American Roots Music in the Louisiana Zydeco Tradition, MOJO & The Bayou Gypsies will headline Europe's 19th International Cajun & Zydeco Festival, 21-22 May, 2011, in Raamsdonksveer, NL!

This exciting and innovative music from their newest album, "25 Years of Inducing Wild Behavior," will be highlighted at one of the world's largest and renowned festivals that celebrate American Roots Music and culture. Indigenous to the Southwest Louisiana area of the U.S., and rooted in the harmonic language of French-speaking Acadians, Cajun-Zydeco music is a lively "peoples" art form that is noted for its use of instruments such as fiddle, rubboard (wash-board), and accordion.

As one of America's most revered representatives of the Cajun/Zydeco tradition, MOJO & The Bayou Gypsies have enjoyed a 25 year history of success as stars of the concert stage for theatre, night clubs, and festivals. They are masters of successfully engaging audiences across all social, cultural, age and language borders.

Chief songwriter, lead vocalist and accordion player for the group, Mister Mojo is a charismatic performer who has entertained audiences for more than 40 years throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. He has written hundreds of original songs recorded on 13 MOJO & The Bayou Gypsies albums. Additionally, he is a music historian who was the guiding force behind the induction of the Zydeco rubboard into the Smithsonian Institute.

The International Cajun & Zydeco Festival is Europe's preeminent event celebrating American Roots Music in the Louisiana Traditions. Drawing from worldwide impact, this Festival features performers of Zydeco and Cajun American Roots Music from Netherlands, France, UK, Germany, Scandinavia, and more. MOJO & The Bayou Gypsies are honored to serve as headline performers, performing concerts on Saturday and Sunday, 21 & 22 May, during the Festival.

"25 Years of Inducing Wild Behavior" is now available on iTunes, and can be purchased at each of the concert appearances.
