New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Capitol Records) Michael Franti & Spearhead will join music legend

Santana Band as special guests on Santana's (SOCC) Sound of
Collective Consciousness Tour this summer. The North American tour launches August 25th in Seattle with a concert at the White River Amphitheatre. SOCC tour highlights include stops in Vancouver, San Antonio, San
Diego and Reno.
"It's not often you get to meet one of your heroes, let alone go on tour with one. Carlos' music has always been about the inclusion of all peoples and cultures. He has inspired millions around the world, including me, to seek their highest good. To be honest, I can't think of a better party for the body and soul than a Santana-Spearhead concert," says Franti.
In addition to the SOCC tour, Franti will kick off the summer with a performance on WPLJ's Summer Blast Off Morning show on May 27th. Franti and Spearhead will be headlining a number of summer dates and festivals including The Dave Matthews Band Caravan, The Hang Out Festival, Wakarusa Festival, Mountain Jam, and a number of soon to be announced dates. Michael Franti's latest album, The Sound of Sunshine, is the highest Billboard Top 200 Album Chart debut of his career. He recently released the music video for his single "I'll Be Waiting" and the single itself is currently climbing the AAA and Hot AC charts. Go here to check out the music video. Previous singles, the title track "The Sound of Sunshine" and "Hey Hey Hey", have had success on the Billboard Charts - "Sunshine" was Franti's first Billboard AAA No 1 and broke into the Top 20 on Hot AC, and "Hey, Hey, Hey" reached No 5 on AAA. Franti will also release the album internationally this month in Europe and the United Kingdom.
