Ellicottville, NY (Top40 Charts/ Ciello Club NY) With recent sets from Germany's
Lutzenkirchen and UK duo Prok & Fitch, Nervous Records special Sunday Night Monthly event at Cielo is fast becoming one of the most essential night's out for New York City clubbers in search of fresh international talent. Next up, Nervous is bringing tech house sensation Pleasurekraft to Cielo on Sunday May, 22 for a special one-off event in preview of their late summer North American tour. The event also features an opening set from rising Dutch DJ/Producer Robbie Taylor.
As a special preview, check out Pleasurekraft's Spring 2011 DJ Mix, available for free direct download. Also an audio version of their 15 Minutes of Fame interview with Pete Tong.
The brainchild of Kaveh Soroush (Washington, DC) and Kalle Ronngardh (Sweden), Pleasurekraft was born in the summer of 2009. Having had their very first track played by Pete Tong on his Essential Selection, and then doing remixes for Chymera, and John Acquaviva's Definitive imprint, Pleasurekraft became a new name to keep an eye on.
Fast forward to the spring of 2010 and the year's biggest smash hit, Pleasurekraft's "Tarantula" was released. It quickly earned the support of the world's biggest DJ's: Sasha & John Digweed, Nic Fanciulli, Danny Howells, Lee Burridge, Dubfire, Michael Mayer, Mark Knight, Laurent Garnier & more. It overtook releases from much bigger artists like Tiesto, Mark Knight, Joris Voorn, Axwell, & the entire Swedish House Mafia, on its climb to the top of the charts. "Tarantula" retained the No 1 overall position on Beatport for an entire month on the way to winning Beatport Tech House Track of the Year for 2010.
After bursting on to the scene with "Tarantula", the opportunities started flowing in for Pleasurekraft and their remixes constantly hit the top of the Beatport charts. Recent original tracks and remixes include Pleasurekraft + Luigi Rocca (aka Marshall) - "Nostromo," Pleasurekraft - "Breastfed," Saeed Younan - "Yeah Ha (Pleasurekraft Remix)," Pleasurekraft - "Anubis," Pleasurekraft - "Carny," and most recently Green Velvet "Harmageddon (Pleasurekraft Remix)." The remix shot to No 8 on Beatport's Tech House chart in less than one week of release.
In addition to a monthly party at Cielo, Nervous Records is ramping up for an exciting summer of CD releases highlighted by Nervous House 20 mixed by UK legend CJ Mackintosh and rising North American talent Sydney Blu with "Nervous Nitelife: Sydney Blu Live From Mansion."
