Listen to what the Press Quotes are saying about this fantastic CD;
" The New Zealander's soulful dark eyes engage from the cover (of Freedom), and her strong, lilting voice entices on the opening title song and the practiced , well-crafted country roots songs ( Holy Mess, Broken Girl) that follow....A class act to watch." - Margaret Moser, Austin Chronicle
"Jackie Bristow sounds like someone who's always lived in Austin when she sings. Bristow's third album (and first since moving her career to the U. S. ), FREEDOM, intigrates, itself immediatley with Bristow's slinking, sexy voice and her deftly blended rock-country-folk-songwriting. She can do Texas rock as well as the good old' local boys." - Austin Music Entertainment
" This album confirms a major talent." - Graham Reid, Elsewhere.
" Bristow is a true original, well worth you attention." Chet Flippo, CMT
"Bristow returns, and she's totally in control, Freedom is red hot." 5* Waikato Times
"Freedom is a brilliant work of art, from a brilliant singer/however more than just a singer, Bristow is a story-teller and she has many tales to tell." NZ Music.net.
.... "It didn't take long sitting there in Hollywood's 'Hotel Cafe' to realise that Jackie Bristow was special and she brings to the stage a soulful voice, acoustic guitar with pop accessiblities and folk sensibilities. She offers rooted music that is fresh and modern and uniquely her own" and has impressed audiences around the world opening for the likes of Madeleine Peyroux, Phoebe Snow, Shawn Mullin's, Jimmy Webb, Art Garfunkel, Renee Geyer, Mark Seymour, Daniel Lanois, James Reyne, Wendy Matthews."
