New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Desktop Recordings) Independent songwriter Carly Jamison releases self-penned debut album
Everything Happens For A Reason featuring a stellar team of talent including two Grammy award winners, a Billboard chart topping guitarist, as well as established studio musicians. According to music blog Lucid Culture, it's "a breath of fresh air - in a world of wussy waifs and wannabe Jersey Shore skanks, she's a rare individual voice making smart, accessible, kick-ass Americana-flavored rock."

Producer Tres Sasser, formerly of The Will Hoge Band, assembled a bevy of world-class musicians for this debut release beginning with Dan Baird of Georgia Satellites fame. His raucous and bluesy guitar is prominently featured throughout the project and lends the perfect support for Carly's deep, sultry voice. Keith Brogdon, who has played with artists such as Radney Foster and Cheap Trick was tapped for drums. Tres himself played bass, and David Henry, known for his work with Steve Earle and Cowboy Junkies, accompanied on strings. Two local church singers, Olivia Mack and Joslyn Ford-Keel, rounded out the ensemble with soulful background vocals. It was mixed by Vance Powell, Grammy Award winner for his work on The Raconteurs Consolers Of The Lonely, and mastered by Richard Dodd, a two time Grammy winner for his work with Tom Petty and Delbert McClinton.

Carly's writing combines elements of rock, folk, blues, and traditional country with modern lyrics and subject matter that results in what music blogger LMNOP refers to as "pure pop infused with some definite bluesy threads... good solid stuff that packs a powerful punch." Often described as roots rock with an urban attitude, Dutch music site AltCountry.nl states that "the razor sharp songs of Jamison are bold in a way we are not used to."
While her writing voice is razor sharp, her singing voice is equally distinct. Music blog BabySue.com says, "She has the same kind of deep sultry voice that has made (Chrissie) Hynde a favorite among music fans for decades." While AltCountry.nl feels, "This amazing voice sounds half like Marshall Chapman (probably the most beautiful female voice in altcountry) and half like Cherry Vanilla (with Bad Girl she made an amazing punk record in London in 1978)." RootsHighway.it describes it as "a voice very intense and very sexy, which may approach those of Patti Smith and Linda Perry."
The album features 10 tracks and is available for sale on iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby, and other retail outlets nationwide.
