NEW YORK (Atlantic announcement) - Elektra/Atlantic recording group
Phish has announced details of their highly anticipated summer tour. The six-city trek will be split into two short legs, with eight shows slated for June, followed by three in August.
The tour will kick off on June 17th and 18th with a special two-night stand at Coney Island's KeySpan Park in Brooklyn, New York, home of the Brooklyn Cyclones minor league baseball club. Other stops on Phish's June schedule include two-night runs at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga, New York; Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana; and Alpine Valley Music Theater in East Troy, Wisconsin.
The August leg of the tour will begin on August 10th and 11th with a pair of shows at Mansfield, Massachusetts' Tweeter Center, followed by a show at Tweeter Center in Camden, New Jersey.
In addition, Phish is currently hard at work seeking necessary approvals to stage a major summer festival in their native Vermont. This event - tentatively slated for the weekend of August 14th and 15th - will mark Phish's first-ever home-state festival. Further details will be announced shortly.
