Chicago, IL (Top40 Charts/ Paper Thick Walls Official Website) Paper Thick Walls love their hometown of Chicago, but sometimes you just gotta get away: the band is gearing up to head out to some exciting festival destinations this summer. First up is North By Northeast, "Canada's most prestigious music festival" (according to The BBC). Paper Thick Walls are hot off the release of their debut album, A Thousand Novels, which has been receiving critical raves and was engineered by Mike Hagler (Neko Case, Wilco). The band is excited to represent Chicago at the conference, which features headliners Devo, Art Brut, Fucked Up and The Pharcyde. Paper Thick Walls will be playing on Thursday, June 16th at The Painted Lady (218 Ossington, M6J 2Z9), sharing the stage with Ketch Harbour Wolves and Young Doctors in Love. PTW have also been invited to play Summerfest 2011 in Milwaukee! They'll be hitting the Cascio Interstate Music Groove Stage (co-sponsored by Onion/AV Club Milwaukee & 91.7FM) at 3PM on Sunday, July 3rd. Summerfest 2011 headliners include The Flaming Lips, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes and Girl Talk.
