Chris Brown & Jill Scott To Perform On The BET Awards '11
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ BET Networks) Chris Brown and Jill Scott join Alicia Keys as performers for this year's BET AWARDS '11. Brown, whose "F.A.M.E." album is No 3 on the R&B Billboard charts, leads the nominations race with nods in six categories. His top nominations include "Best Male R&B Artist," "Video of the Year," and "Coca-Cola Viewers' Choice" for his collaboration with Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne on "Look at Me Now." R&B superstar, poet, and actress Jill Scott, who is set to release her fifth studio album "Light of the Sun" this month, will also take to the BET AWARDS '11 stage with what promises to be a captivating performance. Also on the roster, Alicia Keys returns to the stage to commemorate the re-release of her multi-platinum album "Songs in A Minor" and celebrate her decade-long contributions to the music industry. Keeping with the tradition of celebrating the best in entertainment, the BET AWARDS '11 will once again be a must-see, electrifying night of television.

Hosted by Kevin Hart, the BET AWARDS '11 will pay tribute to the 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient legendary musician and "Godmother of Soul" Patti LaBelle, as well as honor this year's Humanitarian Award recipient Steve Harvey.

For over a decade the BET AWARDS has reigned as the biggest family event rivaling all top awards shows. Having escalated each year in industry influence with A-list celebrity nominations, star-studded appearances and one-of-a-kind performances, the BET AWARDS has undoubtedly established itself as the gold standard in creating memorable moments year after year. The highly-anticipated event airs live, Sunday, June 26 at 8 p.m.* from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA and is guaranteed to be the hottest ticket on television.
