New York , NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Stewart Francke combines both and rock and soul/R traditions on his new CD 'Heartless World.' The album's coda, "Boo Yah," is a perfect example of these two sounds blending together effortlessly. The song features fellow Detroit music vet Mitch Ryder and was inspired by two seemingly unrelated forces. "During my mother's death and illness, the only thing that brought me any solace and removed me from the grueling experience of losing someone to lung cancer was listening to P-Funk," said Francke. The result is a visceral, slow-burning funk jam with huge vocals and blazing horns.
