NEW YORK (Elektra/Atlantic announcement/Jason Mraz Official Website) - One of the most hot artist for the airwaves, the Virginia-born musician Jason Mraz is set to return to the road next month for a special cross-country concert series dubbed "The Tour of the Curbside Prophets." This one-of-a-kind trek takes its name from "Curbside Prophet," the latest single from Mraz' debut album, "Waiting For My Rocket To Come," which is rapidly nearing the RIAA platinum mark.

"The Tour of the Curbside Prophets" will be a unique roadshow, bringing together a diversity of artists in what promises to be a powerful live experience. Inspired by Mraz's beginnings as a hard-working street musician, the show will create a street corner atmosphere - with Mraz "busking" for the audience as a solo acoustic performer, and inviting an array of fellow "Curbside Prophets" to join him in entertaining the crowd. "The Tour of the Curbside Prophets" is set to kick off on May 14th at Minneapolis' Orpheum Theatre, winding up with a much-anticipated show at the Copley Symphony Hall in Mraz's adopted hometown of San Diego. The tour will also feature a very special evening at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, marking the first-ever pop event to be held at the acclaimed Frank Gehry-designed venue.

"The Tour of the Curbside Prophets" is heralded by the release of "Curbside Prophet," the third hit single from Mraz's celebrated debut album, "Waiting For my Rocket To Come." The track has bulleted into the top 15 at Triple A radio outlets nationwide, where Mraz's two previous singles - "Remedy (I Won't Worry)" and "You & I Both" - were both No 1 smashes.
The song heads to Hot AC/Adult Top 40 outlets in early May.
