New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Alan Paul Official Website) Author and musician Alan Paul will return to China June 13-20 for a series of readings and signings of his book Big in China: My Unlikely adventures Raising a Family, Playing the Blues and Becoming a Star in Beijing.
Alan Paul electrified Beijing from 2005-2009 with both his writing and his music. His Expat Life column in the Wall Street Journal Online attracted a wide readership and earned him the National Society of Newspaper Columnists 2008 Online Columnist of the Year award. His cross-cultural blues band Woodie Alan performed all over China, was named City Weekend's 2008 Beijing Band of the Year and recorded a CD, Beijing Blues, which has earned praise from musical luminaries from the Allman Brothers to ZZ Top.
In Beijing, Paul will reunite with much of Woodie Alan for two acoustic performances at readings, as well as one concert at Jianghu Jiuba, the band's Gulou home base.
