The Swellers' New Album 'Good For Me' Arrives Everywhere On June 14, 2011
NEW YORK, NY (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records) Fueled By Ramen recording group The Swellers have announced the release of their much-anticipated new album. "GOOD FOR ME" - which follows the Flint, Michigan-based band's 2009 label debut, "UPS AND DOWNSIZING" - arrives in stores and at all digital retailers on Tuesday, June 14th.

The Swellers will celebrate the album's arrival with a pair of homestate headline shows, slated for June 18th and 19th at The Pike Room in Pontiac, Michigan. From there, the band will embark on a co-headline tour alongside Fake Problems, beginning July 22nd at The House Café in DeKalb, Illinois and then continuing through early August (see itinerary below).

Next on The Swellers' agenda will be a series of dates supporting Fueled By Ramen labelmates Paramore in Hong Kong, Indonesia and Singapore, followed by an Australian trek as part of the all-star Soundwave Revolution traveling festival, which sees the band joining an extraordinary line-up that also includes Van Halen, Bad Religion, and Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen's own Panic! At The Disco. For complete details and additional tour information, please visit https://theswellers.com/tour.

"GOOD FOR ME" marks The Swellers' most thundering recording to date. The band enlisted the production services of punk rock icon Bill Stevenson (of Descendents/All/Black Flag fame), who recorded the album at The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado with his longtime partner-in-crime, Jason Livermore. Highlighted by the first single, "The Best I Ever Had," "GOOD FOR ME" is a breakneck blast of a record, melding energy and melody in its 10 short, sharp tracks. While songs like "Better Things" and "Parkview" see the band expertly wielding their trademark social commentary, the album manages to strike a stunning balance between punk vitriol and personal introspection.

The album has already received a four-starred rave from Alternative Press, which hailed it as "one giant leap toward a fully realized rock sound." Fans can get an early taste of "GOOD FOR ME" by visiting The Swellers' Facebook page - https://facebook.com/theswellers - where the album is currently streaming in its entirety. What's more, pre-orders are still available via the Fueled By Ramen webstore (https://store.fueledbyramen.com), with customers receiving an instant download of "The Best I Ever Had." The webstore is also carrying the album on vinyl.

Since coming together in 2002, The Swellers have earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the most powerful and provocative punk bands of the modern era. True road warriors, the band has toured nearly non-stop since their inception, sharing stages with such like-minded outfits as Less Than Jake, Paramore, Anti-Flag, Motion City Soundtrack, H2O, and Four Year Strong, not to mention festival tours including Vans Warped Tour, Take Action! Tour, and Europe's influential Give It A Name Introduces Tour.

"UPS AND DOWNSIZING," The Swellers' Fueled By Ramen debut, was named one of the best albums of 2009 by both Absolute Punk and Punk News. "The Swellers have topped their Everest and written an album that might just be the perfect balance of melodic & pop punk since (Green Day's) 'DOOKIE,'" gushed Absolute Punk, while Punk News declared the album to be "the best thing FBR has released since the days when The Stereo, Jimmy Eat World and The Impossibles dominated the label's landscape." In addition, SPIN.com named the band to their "12 Best SPIN Sessions of 2009."

The Swellers are Nick Diener: guitar/lead vocals * Jonathan Diener: drums/backing vocals * Ryan Collins: guitar * Anto Boros: bass/backing vocals.
