NEW YORK (Metallica Fans Website) - Metallica have had to pay their label over $2 million (U.S.) for the use of their own songs in the new documentary "Metallica: Some Kind Of Monster".
According to the film's director, the label would have allowed the songs to be used for free if the project had been a reality TV show, but forced the band to pay when they insisted that the project be a theatrically released documentary.
