PITTSBURGH and LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ TRENDSETTERS) This week was the East Coast release party of the new album "The
Drama Montage" featuring all original songs written and sung by Dusty Ray.
The release party, at 20 Cedar Studios in The Ballroom, was well attended and enthusiastically received by the fans. Dusty Ray, with his backup band, sang 4 songs from the new album, including the hot new summer hit "Dirty Knees" and the new pop/rap song "Lookin' Like a Ghost."
Dusty Ray (24), who writes combining genre's in unique ways, was in top form and available for interviews afterwards. Dusty Ray plays 3 instruments, and has been writing music since he was 13. His manager, Matt Vaughan, happened to be celebrating his own 24th birthday in a big way, since he spent hundreds of hours producing Dusty Ray's album to completion. The final result had the impact & high quality needed.
Originally recorded on Garage band, Matt and friends took the tracks and worked in the LA, CA. studio made famous by rock pro's in order to bring out the voice and amazing sounds of this music for the fans. Dusty Ray already has songs written for his second album and recording it in between live gigs.
Original music combining genres came up high in research of fans:
A nationwide survey conducted by Trendsetters this month on girls and guys from 13 to 28 years old, showed that 85% loved the single song and wanted to hear more and get the full album. The music struck a chord, and fans loved the way Dusty sings from experience with a touch of humor-- his lyrics "had meaning that made a difference to them". A real guy full of fun mixed with intelligence, no manufactured personality, Dusty Ray is from Pittsburg originally, but travels the US from coast to coast. The way he connects to his audience shows in live performances. Known by fans for his "amazing vocals, cool looks, and great original music" he is an up-and-coming star to watch out for.
