Springfield, MO (Top40 Charts/ Webster & Associates) Sunday night marked the end of the first annual Show Me
Music and Arts Festival, bringing to a close three full days of entertainment from top musical acts including Tim McGraw, Trace Adkins, Train, OneRepublic, REO Speedwagon,
Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson, and many more-
With 10 months of preparation, 11 days of on-site construction, and over 165 staff working around the clock, Show Me Music Fest was the first event of its kind in the area, and judging by the reaction of the three-day aggregate attendance of 34,000 fans who traveled to the 350 acre Springfield Underground site, the festival was a great success! Sunday drew the largest attendance, featuring rock band OneRepublic and international country superstar Tim McGraw, who both kept the crowd on its feet through the very end.
"As a first year festival, we couldn't be happier with the support we've received from the city of Springfield and the surrounding areas," expressed Show Me Music Fest managing partner Rex Winslow. "We were so thrilled with the talent that participated, and the fan response was overwhelming. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a huge success!"
Additional entertainment throughout the festival included national HBO and Comedy Central comedians at the Comedy Stage, regional and national musical acts at the Saloon Stage, and Celebrity Food Network chefs in the Chef Pavilion including 'Dinner: Impossible' star Robert Irvine who captivated the crowd with his direct and charming personality.
Several fundraising efforts to benefit the community of Joplin, MO took place over the weekend as well, including silent and live auctions featuring numerous donations from all around the nation with items from the historic Ryman Auditorium, Little Big Town, Gloriana, Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, George Jones, and many more. The live auction also included three items, a pair of boots, a guitar, and a hat, all signed by every artist who performed at the Show Me Music and Arts Festival-
Show Me Music and Arts Festival was produced by Conway Entertainment Group out of Nashville, TN and its concert production company CEG LIVE. "This event has great potential," states Conway Entertainment Group owner Tony Conway, " I foresee it growing into one of the finest music & camping festivals in the country."
With top musical acts, entertainment, vendors, charity auctions, camping and more, the Show Me Music and Arts Festival had it all, proving that Show Me Music Fest was THE place to be this past weekend!
