New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Hoganson Media Relations) Atlanta-based songwriter, worship leader
Aaron Keyes releases his sophomore album, Dwell, today from Kingsway with EMI CMG Distribution in the US. With Worship Leader, CCM, Worship Musician, NewReleaseTuesday.com and many others calling attention to this modern collection of 13 songs composed in the battle of the everyday, Dwell was forged in the fires of sacrifice and sharpened by the iron of Scripture. The album follows Keyes' acclaimed album, Not Guilty Anymore-
Keyes, who is worship pastor at Grace Fellowship Church in Snellville, GA, believes, without reservation, that the Word of God is central to worship, and this is the constant in his music that sets him apart. Pulling from 60 to 70 songs that Keyes "road tested" while leading worship, Dwell producers John Hartley (Matt Redman, Rebecca St. James) and Stu G (Delirious?) helped handpick the best of these anthems that are now gathering wide critical acclaim:
"Dwell is a well-arranged and produced album by Aaron Keyes that is beautiful from beginning to end...Keyes continues to bring both atmosphere and deep-felt songs that are comfortable in the sanctuary and on the radio air waves." - Worship Leader Magazine
"With impeccable songwriting, powerful music and a foundation built on the Scriptures, Dwell is essential listening for worship leaders, pastors, men, women, children and anyone else that list does not cover. In Aaron Keyes, America may have a partner to the prolific gift England has in Stuart Townend. Give Aaron Keyes new record a try; turn it up, and dwell." - Foursquare-org
"Aaron leads his listeners in a very refreshing worship experience resulting in one of the best worship albums I have heard in a long time." - Abby Trumbull, NewReleaseTuesday.com
"This is worship with a brilliant modern twist, putting the Contemporary back into Contemporary Christian Music with an ingenious blend of worship, rock, pop, dance and so much more." - Louder Than The Music (5-star review)
"It's no secret I'm a big Aaron Keyes music fan. He's one of the most gifted worship leaders I've encountered and creates some downright beautiful music." - Margaret Feinberg (www.margaretfeinberg.com)
"Aaron's new project is definitely a must-have worship project of 2011, and is one of the most Scripturally-rich albums I have heard in a while." - ChristianMusicReview.com
"Dwell draws you away into gazing into the beauty of the Lord and causes the heart to praise our Almighty Warrior...one of the most passionate worship projects that I've heard in a long time..." - CMAddict.com
Based on Psalm 91, a prayer of protection, with a bridge from Isaiah 54:17, the new album's title track, "Dwell," is one of the defining moments on the record, Keyes says. "Our personal worship, our willingness to abide or dwell in the shelter of the Lord, it's so connected to God moving on our behalf, moving for us, to the Kingdom of God advancing around us."
For the last eight years, it's that waiting room that fuels Keyes' passion for and approach to worship. It is also one of the reasons why he and his wife, Megan, open their home to disciple young worship leaders for several months out of the year, dedicating their lives to reshaping worship leadership for the next generation-
"We want to shift what worship leading looks like," he says, "from worship leaders simply leading songs to worship pastors leading people to knowing God better, to resting our hearts in Him, to expressing our hearts to him-physically, instinctively, fully, expressively... not just emotion, passion and excitement, but to declare the promises of God in the Bible with reverence and orthodoxy."
