Spice Girls may stage reunion

NEW YORK (NY Daily News/Mel B Fans Website) - Speaking in New York, where Mel B is appearing in a Broadway musical, the 28-year-old singer said she hoped the band would pen a new song for the album. "We will probably do something together as a group, but not for a while," she said.
"I think they are going to release a (greatest-hits) album, and hopefully we will all get together and write a song for it. We keep on talking about it, but everybody has branched off to do their own thing," she told the New York Daily News.

Mel B is starring in the musical Rent and former band mates Mel C and Emma Bunton are expected to turn up to watch in the coming weeks. Mel B, originally from Leeds, plays the part of HIV-positive drug addict and erotic dancer Mimi, based on the tragic heroine of Puccini's opera La Bohme.

Despite her new stage role, Mel B insists that her music career is far from over. She has spent the last few months writing acoustic songs in the kitchen of her Los Angeles home.
But it was not clear if and when the songs would hit the high street. "I don`t have a deal, not signed to anyone. This is just for me," she said.
