Nashville Roots-rocker Andrew Adkins Returns With The Release Of 'Troublesome, My Love'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Andrew Adkins Official Website) Songwriter, Andrew Adkins is no stranger to trouble. He spent the past decade as part of the psychedelic/roots-rock band, Mellow Down Easy. "Nearly ten years on the road in a band like Mellow Down Easy can either kill you or really enlighten you," says Adkins. "We all waded through our share of demons, heartbreak, turmoil, good and bad times. Thankfully we were able to come out on the other side and be able to use those experiences to grow as artists and as individuals." MDE's unbridled road life did not stop Andrew and his band mates from encompassing a cult fan-base as well as garnering their share of acclaim. The band's last album, 2009's 'Cosmisutra' (Dualtone) was hailed as "the most original style in the last decade" and a "breath of fresh air" by critics from Outlaw Magazine, Vintage Guitar, Rolling Stone and various other publications from around the World. After nearly a decade together Andrew suggested that the band go on an indefinite hiatus. "I decided it was time to try something else. I needed to break away and express myself in another way."

Adkins will release his first ever solo album, 'Troublesome, My Love' on September 6, 2011. "These are my songs are my heart and soul and my stories," explains Andrew. "This is the most personal music I have ever made in my life!" The album's first single, "A Little Bit of Mercy" is a sonically pleasing, uplifting, tour de soul. Look for the single to drop on the radio and internet in late July. Andrew is planning a string of solo, acoustic shows starting this Fall in support of 'Troublesome, My Love'. "I am really stoked to share this music with everyone," Adkins says. "This is the album I have always wanted to make."
