Strawman Says... End The Romance
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Strawman Official Website) STRAWMAN's newest single, END THE ROMANCE is set for release in July 2011, on Why Canned Uzi? Records.

Strawman is back, with their new single 'End the Romance', continuing with the proliferation of their brand of De-Prog(ramming) Rock. With the current generation becoming dependent on their social networking/techno fix, 'End the Romance' is a POKE in the FACEbook of the masses.

The Toronto trio formed back in 2005 and has been experimenting with sounds and styles to complement their salient lyrics that are a commentary on the current state of affairs on planet Earth. Their music has been influenced by artists that include classic rockers Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, progressive stalwarts Rush and Genesis to more contemporary acts like Tool, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails and Queens of the Stone Age, to name a few.

In a world that is influenced and shaped by the cyber-consciousness of the blogosphere, STRAWMAN is once again revealing an alternative point of view to the mass consumption of the "Apple i-gods'" tools of change. 'End the Romance' is a dark pop song that suggests a warning to all who can't look up from their screen as they are texting while walking down the sidewalk. Strawman will be rigourously promoting 'End the Romance' with more singles to follow over the next few months. You can experience STRAWMAN next on August 5th, 2011 at The Sound Academy in Toronto.
