LOS ANGELES (Paramount announcement/Rolling Stones Fans Website) - The Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger and former Eurythmic Dave Stewart have joined forces to compose the theme music, as well as having written three original songs for Paramount Pictures' remake of Alfie. The duo will be recording the songs, entitled "Old Habits Die Hard," "Blind Leading the Blind" and "Let's Make It Up," at the famous Abbey Road Studio 2 in London, the very same studio where the Beatles recorded most of their legendary music. In addition, award-winning composer John Powell will team up with the two rock legends to weave the melodies of the Jagger/Stewart collaborations throughout the picture's musical score. "Mick and I had a great time working on the songs for this film," said Dave Stewart. "I've enjoyed being involved in the creative process from day one. As the movie comes together, it feels like a classic as the themes we have written turn into songs crafted to fit the scenes and Alfie's character."
