Hall Of Fame Rockers And A Country Star Among Acts Coming Soon To Tulsa
Tulsa, OK (Top40 Charts/ Cherokee Nation Businesses) It's been nearly a year since The Joint opened its doors inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, and casino officials have built an impressive schedule of popular performers leading up to the one-year anniversary on Sept. 30.

Upcoming acts include Creedence Clearwater Revisited on Aug. 5, Peter Frampton on Aug. 23, Gary Allan on Sept. 2, ZZ Top on Sept. 23 and The Beach Boys on Sept. 30.

"We've had a lot of fun since we opened the doors to The Joint almost one year ago," said Danny Finnerty, entertainment director for Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa. "These upcoming acts have recorded some of the biggest hits of the last few decades and bring great showmanship to the stage, so these are all shows you don't want to miss."

Creedence Clearwater Revisited

Formed in 1995 by Creedence Clearwater Revival bass player Stu Cook and drummer Doug Clifford, Creedence Clearwater Revisited created new life for a catalogue of hits and the rhythm section of the band that was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.

Fans can expect to hear timeless hits, including "Suzie Q. (part one)," "Green River," "Proud Mary," "Down on the Corner," "Up Around the Bend," "Lookin' out My Back Door," "Born on the Bayou," "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" and "Fortunate Son."

Peter Frampton

To celebrate the 35th anniversary of "Frampton Comes Alive!," Frampton will play all 14 songs from the album, including "Baby, I Love Your Way," and "Show Me the Way" and "Do You Feel Like We Do," which feature the use of the talk box guitar effect that instantly became a trademark sound for the British performer. He will also perform a set of more recent hits.

"Frampton Comes Alive!" is the fifth best-selling live album of all time behind Garth Brooks' "Double Live," Bruce Springsteen's "Live/1975-1985," the Eagles' "Eagles Live" and Eric Clapton's "Unplugged."

Gary Allan

During the last 15 years, Allan has released eight studio albums, with three certified platinum and three certified gold. Throughout his 15-year career, Allan has also released 25 singles with all charting on the Billboard country charts, including three that peaked at No. 1.

Among his singles are the chart-topping hits "Man to Man," "Tough Little Boys" and "Nothing On but the Radio." Other popular singles include "Her Man," "Right Where I Need to Be," "Smoke Rings in the Dark," "The One," "Best I Ever Had" and "Watching Airplanes."

ZZ Top
For more than three decades, ZZ Top has been a mainstay on rock radio, with more than 40 singles being released from 14 studio albums. The "Little Ol' Band from Texas" has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide.

The release of 1983's "Eliminator" made ZZ Top one of the biggest hit makers of the 80s. The album sold more than 10 million copies and featured the popular singles "Gimme All Your Lovin'," "Got Me Under Pressure," "Sharp Dressed Man" and "Legs," which also won the band one of three of its MTV Video Music Awards.

Other hit songs by ZZ Top include "La Grange," "Tube Snake Boogie," "Rough Boy," the "Back to the Future III" contribution "Doubleback" and the Elvis Presley cover of "Viva Las Vegas."

The Beach Boys

The Beach Boys, one of America's most influential bands, will help celebrate The Joint's first anniversary with a set loaded with classic hits.

Since forming in 1961, The Beach Boys have released 28 studio albums and an astounding 82 singles, including 36 that peaked in the Top 40, with four becoming No. 1 hits. The band's chart-toppers are "I Get Around," "Help Me, Rhonda," "Good Vibrations" and "Kokomo," which was recorded for the "Cocktail" soundtrack and became the band's biggest single, selling more than 1 million copies and earning platinum certification in 1989. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa is located off of Interstate 44 at exit 240A.
