Amy Winehouse Death Inspires T-shirt Company To Help Fight Drug Addiction
Cincinnati, OH (Top40 Charts/ Look At Me Shirts) The tragic death of the 5 time Grammy winner has inspired a few Amy Winehouse T shirt designs from Lookatmeshirts.com. However, these guys aren't out to make a buck for themselves. They are donating the proceeds to the Center for Chemical Addictions Treatment in their hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London Apartment on July 23rd. She was added to the long list of entertainers who passed at the age of 27 including Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain. She endured a long public battle with drug addiction.

Look At Me Shirts is known for creating funny T shirts from pop culture and current events, but the passing of Amy Winehouse has given them a chance to step up and use their online presence to raise money for a local drug treatment center. Look at me shirts' partner and Stand up Comedian, Josh Sneed says, "Throughout my comedy career, I have seen friends struggle with addiction and it feels good to try to help out wherever I can. If we can raise enough to make a difference in just one person's life, it will be worth it to us."

One of the Amy Winehouse shirts is a throwback to the 1980's, "Just Say No" campaign started by Nancy Reagan. The shirt reads "Just Say No No No" in reference to Winehouse mega hit "Rehab." Look At Me Shirts designer, Darin Overholser adds, "People usually expect a joke or a sarcastic message from us. The Just Say No No No shirt has a bit of that, but the underlying message is very serious."

The Amy Winehouse Tribute is a tranquil collage of birds flying in the shape of Amy Winehouse with her trademark hairstyle. Overholser adds, "Winehouse's life was very painful and I wanted to convey a feeling of freedom with her appearing in a flock of birds."

Started in 2006, Lookatmeshirts.com offers hilarious original T shirt designs. When news breaks, chances are they are already getting a T shirt uploaded to the internet. Their shirts have been seen on TMZ and Comedy Central.

The T shirts are available at Lookatmeshirts.com and are $20. You can get a coupon code on the Look At Me Shirts Facebook page. Look At Me Shirts will donate 15% from all Winehouse shirts to CCAT. There is a link directly to CCAT from their site in case people simply want to donate.
