New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ AKOO Clothing) The AKOO Clothing brand is thrilled to announce, B.o.B, the Grammy award-nominated and Soul
Train award-winning pop artist, is joining AKOO Clothing's Ambassador Program.
At the age of 22, B.o.B has revolutionized the music industry, producing the hit number-one singles "Nothin' On You" and "Magic" in both the United States' and the United Kingdom's top 100 Billboard. Hailing from Atlanta, this young talent once again connects with hometown icon and label mate, T.I., this time in clothing.
"There is something intriguing about a star like B.o.B. He represents a growing group of artists whose natural talent transcends the typical rapper stereotype and urban format. He defines himself on his own terms by effortlessly blending elements from the street, pop culture, his life experiences and cultural perspective. He creates timeless and relevant music that connects with a broad range of people. Similarly, AKOO Clothing creates contemporary and relevant fashion for all types of guys" states Jeff Belizaire, Marketing Director of AKOO Clothing.
B.o.B entered the spotlight as a 19-year-old right out of high school. After signing with Atlantic Records, B.o.B said, "I'm really focused on painting a picture of myself as a musician and an artist and not just a rapper. I feel like I'm not just making rap music; I feel like I'm changing music, period." B.o.B has been nominated for five Grammy Awards, five MTV Awards, and thirteen BET Awards. His debut album, The Adventures of Bobby Ray, triumphed the Billboard 200 list, heading the chart as the No 1 album in July of 2010. B.o.B. has not only changed the music industry, but has also become the voice of multiple sporting arenas, with his hit "Magic" advertised on Adidas' "Magic" campaign, and producing the theme for the 2010 ESPN Bowl Week, "Champion." In his most recent collaboration, B.o.B once again connected with T.I. to produce the hit song, "We Don't Get Down Like Y'all."
"I'm looking forward to working with Tip and AKOO Clothing on more projects this year," states B.o.B. "We want to continue to add new-ness to American music as well as push the envelop in the contemporary men's fashion landscape."
B.o.B will be featured in AKOO Clothing's upcoming fall 2011 national advertising campaign alongside Curtis Granderson of the New York Yankees, Carl Crawford of the Boston Red Sox, and star of the BET hit sitcom, The Game, Hosea Chanchez.
