New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Girlie Action Media & Marketing) As Scattered Trees begins their first U.S. headlining tour, the band is happy to share two brand-new live performances with their fans. On the first leg of their tour, the band stopped in at Vocalo 89.5 in
Chicago and 88.1 KDHX in St. Louis. The sessions are now available for download and stream, and are a preview at the band's critically acclaimed live show, lauded for its mix of stark, frank lyricism backed by anthemic instrumentation. "Eiesland's songs are as delicate as a nervous handshake, and sometimes evoke the soundtrack to a cinematic romance, in which the beautiful guy finally gets the beautiful girl."- KDHX
"The members of Scattered Trees play together so effortlessly that it's hard to imagine them playing with anyone else... Hearing their music makes you think of all the great music that's out there waiting to be discovered, and that warm feeling isn't just the summer heat."
- Buzzine
"The absolute sincerity, the difficultly in delivering certain lines - it's real. Scattered Trees came together to make this album to cope, to remedy feelings the only way they knew how, and therein lies its effect and its beauty." -Consequence of Sound
"They're sure to leave a deep imprint on their genre for years to come."- Vocalo
The tour also coincides with the physical release of the band's latest record Sympathy on August 9th via Roll Call Record/EMI. The album is a stunning and ingenious collection of songs that reach for great emotional heights, exploring the intricacies of love and loss in the process. It's a rare, cathartic record that's as heartfelt as it is therapeutic.
It's been a whirlwind year for Scattered Trees. A little over a year ago, Scattered Trees was effectively broken up, with members of the band literally scattered all across the country. Then, lead singer Nate Eiseland's father passed away, and as a tribute to his late father, Nate penned a series of songs on his acoustic guitar. With those acoustic songs in hand, the band came back together in
Chicago and fleshed out the tracks, writing the songs that would become Sympathy. That album has been praised by Nylon, RCRD LBL, No Depression,Consequence of Sound, Buzzine and others as an album that's not to be missed. The band's music has also been topping the Hype Machine charts.
