Craig Richards Presents The Nothing Special
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Blkmarket Membership) As fabric's musical director, Craig Richards has not only defined the musical output of the world's most iconic nightspot, but in doing so has shaped British underground music. Craig has been with fabric since its birth and has revolutionized the concept of a residency. Always allowed complete freedom to invite artists and program them around his own regular weekly performance, his forward-thinking attitude continues to be a guiding light on the musical horizon. fabric 58 allows his versatility to shine through further as he invites his most admired live acts to Saturdays at fabric for an irregular series of obscure affairs featuring the likes of Shackleton, Deadbeat, Pole and more.

"After an eleven year residency at fabric I wanted to create a night that required me to play all night around Live acts, setting the scene for each one as the evening progresses. Playing a gentle deep warm up for Moritz Von Oswald, or a twitchy electro set before Dopplereffekt, or a disco set before Emperor Machine, all of which I am capable of because of the variety within my residency." - Craig Richards

The Nothing Special reflects the diversity and steadfast nature he is renowned for and echoes his obscure and considered approach to his craft. Starting back in the mid 90s with Andrew Weatherall and Keith Tenniswood's Two Lone Swordsmen guise the mix ebbs and flows in a timeless manner taking in rare cuts from Conscious Minds on his own Tyrant label, Housey Doingz from fellow fabric resident Terry Francis's Wiggle imprint and an unknown cut from early Chicago legend Gemini, whose work is notoriously difficult to license. With most choices unfamiliar, the mix is typical of Craig's bold approach and resolute manner and imparts untold rewards after close inspection.

Sub:stance residency launch in New York

Scuba will bring the bass-heavy sounds of his Sub:stance party to New York for a new residency on Saturday, August 13th, with help from Blk|Market Membership.

A UK native, Scuba (formally known as Paul Rose) might be most well-known for founding Hotflush Records, the label that has released dubstep and related sounds from acts like Shackleton and Mount Kimbie. In Berlin he's also the mind behind Sub:stance, the quarterly bass night that takes over Berghain; the club's label Ostgut Ton released Scuba's Sub:stance mix CD early last year and the event will celebrate three years of existence at Berghain this weekend with the likes of FaltyDL and Mark Ernestus.

For the New York residency launch next month, Scuba will command the main room along with UK artist Appleblim and Sub:stance co-founder Paul Spymania. Addison Groove, the juke-oriented project from Headhunter, will perform live. Also on hand is Seffi the Panorama Bar resident DJ who released her debut album Yours & Mine on Ostgut Ton earlier this year. For those looking for a bit more emphasis on 4/4, she'll share the decks in the party's second room with Blkmarket's Taimur and Fahad. The party's location is Santos Party House, and tickets are available here on RA.

CHUCKIE @ Nightclub
Chuckie brings Amsterdam's sultry sophisticated style back to Marquee for his Dirty Dutch Red Light District residency. He has most recently stamped his signature "house-meets-hip-hop" Dirty Dutch sound - now a certified worldwide phenomenon - on remixes of chart-topping British girl group The Saturday's "Notorious" and Erick Morillo's "Stronger." His original hit tracks like "Let The Bass Kick" and remix of "Sexy Bitch" by David Guetta continue to smash dancefloors around the globe. With a monthly rotation on the legendary BBC Radio 1's 'In New DJs We Trust' show, Chuckie is set to drop 'Dirty Dutch Volume 5' soon.

Saturday, August 13
CHUS & CEBALLOS + VIKTORIA METZKER @ Dayclub
Chus & Ceballos are responsible for pioneering the 'Iberican Sound,' a house music movement that perfectly blends house and techno with an unmistakable beat. The duo recently released 'Back On Tracks Vol. 2,' which highlights their unique ability to weave sounds, vocals and effects together into a seamless, percussion-laden DJ mix - promising to be the essential dance music compilation of the summer. With a worldwide club and festival touring schedule, they bring a taste of their Spanish charisma to Marquee Dayclub.

Born in Budapest, Viktoria Metzker has found success as both a DJ and an international model (she was chosen to be Hungary's Playmate of 2007). Since her 2007 DJ debut at Club Sensation, Viktoria has worked with the likes of Funkerman and Eddie Thoneick, and remixed Roger Sanchez ("Get Together") and Denis The Menace vs. Chris Montana ("Spanish Hustle"). In April she released a new single, "So Amazing," featuring vocals by Mitch Crown, on renowned Dutch label Spinnin' Records (watch the video on YouTube.) With a hectic DJ schedule that sees her in a different city every weekend, she'll be bringing her beauty & beats back to Marquee Dayclub

Saturday, August 13
DASH BERLIN @ Nightclub
An invigorating newcomer to the electronic dance music world, The Netherland's Dash Berlin has pioneered his own brand of trance: futuristic, scintillating, moving and emotive. In 2007 he captured the attention of Armin van Buuren, who featured "Till The Sky Falls Down" on legendary 'Universal Religion' album. Dash Berlin's 2009 critically acclaimed debut album, 'The New Daylight,' pioneering 42-minute long 'Flashback' YouTube video mix, and long-awaited 2010 mix album 'United Destination' have continued to push him into the spotlight - and, of course, straight onto the decks at Marquee Nightclub.

Friday, August 19
EC TWINS @ Nightclub
Known for their incredibly infectious high-energy shows, EC Twins continue their quest to rule the electronic music world. Their original track with Remy Le Duc, "Say Yes," hit the top 40 on the Beatport Progressive House Charts while their remix with Remy Le Duc of David Garcia & High Spies' "All Here Now" has broken the top 10 on Billboard's Dance charts and is still climbing. Instrumental in paving the way for house music domination on a global scale, EC Twins return to Marquee regularly to share their trendsetting sounds.

Saturday, August 20
MARKUS SCHULZ + FUNKAGENDA @ Dayclub
Markus Schulz is unstoppable in 2011, having already released his 'Prague '11' compilation, 'Do You Dream? - The Remixes' album, 'Do You Dream? World Tour Documentary' DVD and 'Thoughts Become Things II' album (under his alter-ego, Dakota). Credited for revolutionizing the U.S. trance scene in the last 10 years with his unique fusion of progressive, house and trance, Markus also continues to host his highly prominent Global DJ Broadcast radio show, with a listenership in the millions. The King of Trance returns to Vegas to reign over the decks at Marquee Dayclub.

Funkagenda's sound - described as "tough but melodic big room house" by DJ Mag - has attracted labels including Subliminal, Defected and Toolroom Records, as well as the likes of Basement Jaxx, Moby and Fatboy Slim. Funkagenda's first solo album, released in 2009, firmly fixed his name across global music charts, achieving Beatport Number One and Top 10 spots. But it's his deeply personal DJ sets that earned him an international fan-base, as he brings his passion for music and technology to dancefloors around the world. Preview his sounds on Soundcloud and experience it yourself at Marquee Dayclub!

Friday, August 26
GABRIEL & DRESDEN @ Nightclub
After a three-year hiatus, the critically acclaimed, award winning DJ / songwriting / production duo Gabriel & Dresden officially announce they're back! To celebrate the reunion Gabriel & Dresden have embarked on a massive tour that stops at none other than the world's new dance music capital: Las Vegas. Fans can expect a set filled with new interpretations of the classics and samplings of brand new original tracks and remixes. Josh Gabriel & Dave Dresden are responsible for 17 number one Billboard hits, three compilation albums, an artist album and seven International Dance Music Awards. The duo is currently working on a new compilation album, set for release on Armada Music in August 2011.

Saturday, August 27
MATT DAREY + LARRY TEE @ Dayclub
One of the pioneers of today's electronic dance music scene, Matt Darey's productions in rocktronica, house, trance, breaks and progressive have been a major influence on today's EDM artists. He has sold well over 2 million albums and singles, with numerous Top 10 chart hits. Matt Darey's groundbreaking Nocturnal Radio show and podcast, featuring his expert mixes of the best new dance music every week, is broadcast across 35 countries on 150 stations worldwide. This true living legend brings his exquisite live track selections, which can be previewed here, to Marquee Dayclub for some daytime revelry.

Larry Tee is credited for originating and championing the "electroclash" movement in the early 2000s, paving the way for Scissor Sisters, Felix Da Housecat, Soulwax, Peaches and many more. Originally from Atlanta, he took over the NYC club scene in the '90s with his epic party, "Love Machine," and also co-wrote RuPaul's Billboard Top 40 hit "Supermodel (You Better Work)." In 2009, he released 'Club Badd,' featuring appearances by Perez Hilton, Roxy Cottontail, Amanda LePore, HervE, SEbastien LEger and more. Having played alongside the likes of Kraftwerk, The Gorillas, New Order, Mark Ronson, LCD Soundsystem, Nick Cave, Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim at festivals and nightclubs around the world, he brings the epic party to Marquee Dayclub.
