Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Just May Have A Hit On Their Hand
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Fresh off the release of the stunning music video for "WINGS", Macklemore & producer Ryan Lewis are back with an energetic new single titled "Can't Hold Us". Already a live hallmark for the duo, "Can't Hold Us" features hard-driving kicks, a quick flow, and larger than life instrumentation. Urgent lyrics meld with driving percussion and anthemic horns, creating a raucous summer-time anthem. The song is perfectly timed with the duo hitting the summer festival circuit, including Outside Lands, Rock the Bells, Bumbershoot, and MusicFest NW.

Macklemore, whose recent work has highlighted story telling, takes "Can't Hold Us" in a different direction, with the focus shifted to mood and delivery. While showcasing his diversity as an MC, Macklemore dives in and out of topics, from his thoughts on record labels, to his suit game, which he says rivals that of Bob Barker's.

"Can I kick it, thank you, I'm so damn grateful/I grew up really wanting gold fronts, but that's what you get when Wu-Tang raised you"

"Can't Hold Us" also marks the debut of Seattle vocalist Ray Dalton, whose silky vocals can be found on the songs chorus. Dalton, whose background is in gospel choir, recently performed the song with Macklemore & Lewis on both NPR and KEXP.

"Can't Hold Us" is available now on iTunes.
