Mastodon Release 'Curl Of The Burl' - First Official Single From New Album The Hunter!

BURBANK, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Reprise Records) Today is a big day in the Mastodon camp as several events surrounding the September 27th release of the hard-rock heroes' highly anticipated full-length studio album The Hunter have begun. First up, "Curl Of The Burl," the first official single from The Hunter, is now available for purchase through all digital retailers. Follow the link to the iTunes Store here.

Finally, now that "Curl Of The Burl" has been released into the atmosphere, Mastodon have launched a contest at their official website www.mastodonrocks.com and are challenging fans to put their rock chops to use. Download the track, add your own lead guitar or drums, and upload it back to the site. The band will pick the best entry based on originality and skill in a few weeks. One grand-prize winner will get a new MacBook Air Notebook, a personal message from the band, and more. One loser will be chosen and will receive an empty bag of chips via U.S. mail. Probably Fritos.
