Blues Rock Star Joe Bonamassa Sells Out Select Cities For The Second Leg Of His North American Tour In Support Of Critically Acclaimed Album
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Award-winning blues rock star, guitar hero and singer-songwriter Joe Bonamassa will kick off the second leg of his North American tour in support of his critically acclaimed solo album Dust Bowl, which debuted at #1 on Billboard's Blues Chart and #37 on Billboard's Top 200, making it his highest-selling and chart-ranking US debut to date. Bonamassa will begin the tour in Minneapolis on Oct. 25 and continue through fall, making stops in Chicago, Boston, and Philadelphia and playing two shows at New York City's Beacon Theatre, one of which is already sold out. Other sold-out shows include Seattle and Minneapolis. Bonamassa will tour select cities in Europe in early October, already selling out all three shows at Amsterdam's famed Carre Theatre.

Bonamassa's ninth studio release and twelfth full-length solo album, Dust Bowl was released in March and quickly received an abundance of glowing critical acclaim. USA Today hailed, "What sets this album apart is the superior songwriting and the ability to seamlessly inject sounds from other genres into the mix." The Dallas Morning News described it as "thematic and expansive… a blues-rocking tour-de-force from an artist who knows no other way of making music."

Bonamassa, an official Gibson Artist with three signature guitars, was named 2010's Billboard Blues Artist of the Year. He kicked this year off with the first leg of his 2011 North American tour, wowing crowds and earning praise from The Orange County Register who said, "I haven't seen anything so dazzling since Steve Ray Vaughan at the Wiltern in '86...he is unquestionably among our greatest living guitarists, destined to be counted among the greatest of all-time." The Columbus Dispatch hailed the show as "a night of wailing, energy-drenched solos that never ceased to impress" while the Reading Eagle called it a "tour de force performance steeped in blues."

Bonamassa just completed a very successful summer tour with his hard rock band Black Country Communion, comprised ofGlenn Hughes, Jason BonhamandDerek Sherinian. BCC played a select number of dates in North America and Europe in support of their sophomore album 2which The Sunday Mercury praised, "This is classic rock goes large, an album that lives up to its heritage. It may not be bettered this year."

Most recently, Bonamassa collaborated with Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Beth Hart, known for her raw and powerful blues-rock sound, on a record of soul covers called Don't Explain, out Sept. 27, 2011on J&R Adventures. The record features Hart's scorching interpretations of ten classic songs first made famous by artists including Billie Holiday, Etta James, Tom Waits, Ray Charles, Delaney & Bonnie, Bill Withers, and Aretha Franklin with Bonamassa on guitar and his ace band filling out the tracks.
