New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Zenph Sound Innovations—the company whose ground-breaking technology transforms recorded music into data describing precisely how musicians perform—today announced the 1.0 release of RePerform™, a new software application for editing piano performances.
RePerform is a piano-focused MIDI editor that works with files recorded on quality acoustic and digital pianos, such as the Yamaha® Disklavier Pro and AvantGrand. Unlike typical MIDI editing software, RePerform enables high resolution editing and is the first commercial product that understands the musical nuances of the highly complex and interwoven MIDI files produced by the Disklavier Pro. Until now, it had been impractical for pianists to edit high-resolution Disklavier Pro XP files. Typical sequencers obliterate the XP data scheme while providing no practical alternatives.
RePerform has been available in a preview edition since June. The commercial version of the product is now available for purchase on the company's web site for $129. Individuals who had previously downloaded the demo will receive the full RePerform version at a special discount price of $99, for a limited time only.
"This opens up a whole new world of creative possibilities," said
Dr. John Q. Walker, Zenph's Founder. "Pianists can now focus on the subtleties of their artistry rather than worry about playing note-perfect performances. Once they're done, they can simply go back in and polish their results."
"We had an extremely enthusiastic response to our preview version," noted
George Litterst, Chief Creative Officer at Zenph. "The user feedback we received helped us improve and enhance our final product."
Unique features include:
-the ability to ‘upconvert' files created on a standard Disklavier or digital piano to high definition Disklavier Pro XP files
option to edit hammer speed, note-on key velocity, and note release velocity on a scale of 0-1023
option to edit the una corda and sustain pedal data on a scale of 0-255 -the ability to record XP data directly from a Disklavier via a MIDI cable
-option to edit the Meta and SysEx events and text strings associated with Yamaha Disklavier data
RePerform is part of a growing family of Zenph software, including:
Home Concert Xtreme™—an award-winning, interactive learning and performing environment that provides intelligent accompaniment that actually follows the soloist—slowing down, speeding up and getting softer and louder in a musically coordinated fashion.
Classroom Maestro™—an intelligent and interactive, electronic blackboard that instantly displays musical concepts with an on-screen staff and keyboard.
Internet MIDI™—a software program that connects MIDI instruments together over the
Internet for real-time music instruction and performance.
Internet MIDI was a featured technology at the 2010 Intel Visionary Conference.
