NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) Hip-hop star Snoop Dogg has expressed his interest in the vacancy role of Yahoo! CEO.
The 39-year-old rapper announced his intentions via his Twitter account @SnoopDogg, saying, "Im takn over as tha CEO of Yahoo. Need sum of tha Snoop Dogg content ya dig. Nuff Said."
Former CEO, Carol Bartz, was recently fired with the company's Chief Financial Officer, Tim Morse, temporarily occupying the vacancy.
However, a message from a Twitter account, believed to be that of Tim Morse said, "Haha Snoop Dog, sorry that position is already filled I enjoy listening to your music".
This sparked the response, "My name is alread raisn tha stock price of Yahoo uhearme!! Bout to call a board meeting!", from Snoop Dogg.
Snoop Dogg, real name, Calvin Broadus struck fame in the early 90s after being discovered by fellow West Coast rapper, Dr. Dre. He released his debut album Doggystyle in 1993 which sold 802, 858 copies in its first week, he has since gone onto release a further 10 albums. He is currently starring in new thriller The Big Bang which is the story of a detective who is hired to find a missing stripper but finds his task becoming more and more difficult as everyone he questions turns up dead.
