E Get $$$ was born in Lakeside, San Antonio, Texas, where he was also partially raised. The Pecan Valley, Southeast 210 became his stomping ground. Growing up, he never really wanted to rap, just doing it as a pastime, as his real passion was in playing basketball, which he planned to continue at least through school. In the summer of 2010, however, he wrecked his motorcycle and was confined to a wheelchair for a few months—ending his basketball career and giving him plenty of time to think. He got up with DJ Scream from Atlanta and dropped his first mixtape, which would change his life forever. He has since dropped a few other mixtapes with DJs like DJ Fletch out of Dallas, and is a sought after performer in clubs in San Antonio.
After several months of speculation within the industry, DJ Scream has signed a six-figure deal with Rick Ross' Maybach
Music Group/Warner Brothers. The duo, having collaborated in the past, began dealing with rumors circulating around the signing in April. "This is a huge opportunity for me to further demonstrate my talents and capabilities. I feel like I've helped to garner success for a lot of artists as a DJ, but now I have the exciting challenge of putting out records for myself," said DJ Scream. "I've got a great team behind me and I look forward to adding to the greatness of MMG."
