The Gagosian Art Gallery In New York City Hosts Major Evening Of Contemporary Art And Music With Robbie Robertson, Richard Prince And More On September 19, 2011
New York, NY (Top40 Charts / 429 Records) The Gagosian Art Gallery in New York City will bring the world of music and contemporary art together for one special evening on September 19th when Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Robbie Robertson will be joined by renowned modern artist Richard Prince and other collaborators on the groundbreaking collector's set of How To Become Clairvoyant, being released by 429 Records.

This Limited Edition set marries Robertson's music and high art concepts. The musical collaborators included Eric Clapton, Trent Reznor, Tom Morello, Robert Randolph, Steve Winwood and more. The concept for this project came about when Robertson was making Clairvoyant. Acclaimed conceptual artist Richard Prince asked to hear the music and was inspired to contribute ten pieces to the collection. Legendary photo artist and filmmaker Anton Corbijn did a series of clairvoyant and film noire-style pictures with Robbie. Master magician Ricky Jay contributed art from his historic archives, with additional photo-works by Sante D'Orazio, Maureen Lambray and art director David Jordan Williams. This joining of art and contemporary music has rarely been seen since the days of Warhol and the Rolling Stones and Velvet Underground.

The Collector's Set of How To Become Clairvoyant will be limited to 2,500 signed/numbered copies. The shop at the prestigious Gagosian Gallery on Madison Avenue in New York City will play host on Monday, September 19th to an invitation-only signing party. The collection features a 50+ page art book, an individually numbered set of five lithographs printed on 125lb fine art cover uncoated super smooth substrate, a set of 8 original tarot cards and a music book that includes the album +10 bonus tracks in vinyl and CD formats and a DVD with multi-track files of three songs. The limited set will be available at the Gagosian shop, at https://www.robbie-robertson.com/ and at Amazon.com.

Robertson commented, "I've never been this excited and proud to sign a collection of music and art that so perfectly reflects the heart of a piece of work."
