LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts) Mick Jagger has admitted that while he'd love to celebrate the Rolling Stones' 50th anniversary next year, he wouldn't invite band mate Keith Richards.
Jagger explained to Live magazine that it would be great to return to the Marquee Club where the band played their first gig to commemorate the milestone, but Richards wouldn't be welcome:
"Maybe we could go back to the Marquee to accept a plaque for 50 years of service instead of a tour. That could work - except Keith obviously can't come. Charlie Watts [who wasn't at the first performance] can come but he wouldn't get the plaque obviously."
Jagger also opened up about his new project SuperHeavy, which also stars Joss Stone and Damian Marley, and said the he doubts Richards has even bothered to check it out:
"I don't know if Keith really listens to that much. I don't know what Keith listens to. He says he listens to Chuck Berry, I wonder if it is actually true!"
