Lil Wayne Holds On To Top Billboard 200 Spot! George Strait Lands Top Debut On Billboard 200, Beatles' 1' Re-enters Top 5
NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) Lil Wayne's new album dropped 77 percent in its second week out but it still easily holds No. 1 on the Billboard chart in a week that also saw the return of the Beatles to the Top 10. 'Tha Carter IV' holds the No 1 position on Billboard's Top 200 album chart for a second week (though the 219,000 copies moved marks a 77% drop in sales).

Top40-Charts.com notes that Lil Wayne has made history becoming the first rapper to eleven singles debut this week from his new 'Carter IV' album land on the Billboard Hot 100 chart! Eight singles debuted this week from Wayne's latest release, including "Mirror" featuring Bruno Mars at No. 16. Combined with the three previous singles on the chart, Wayne's 11 total singles on the chart tie David Cook and Taylor Swift for most simultaneously-charting songs by a solo artist in history.

The only new album to debut in the Top 10 is George Strait's 39th studio offering Here For A Good Time (No 3, 91,000), while The Beatles' compilation 1 returns at No 4 (60,000) after a remastered edition made its digital debut.

Top40-Charts.com notes that the Beatles' 1 compilation, which contains all of the quartet's chart-topping US and UK hits, has sold 11.8 million copies since it was first released back in November 2000. In December 2009, Nielsen SoundScan ranked 1 as the best-selling album of that decade, just ahead of *NSYNC's No Strings Attached and Norah Jones' Come Away With Me.

Meanwhile, between Lil Wayne, Adele, The Beatles, Beyonce and the latest NOW compilation, this week's chart is notable for numbers (or numerals) appearing in the titles of half of the albums listed in Top 10.

The Top 10 Of Billboard's Top 200 Chart:

1. Lil Wayne, Tha Carter IV *2 weeks*
2. Adele, 21
3. George Strait, Here For A Good Time *new*
4. The Beatles, 1 *re-entry*
5. Red Hot Chili Peppers, I'm With You
6. Jay-Z & Kanye West (The Throne), Watch The Throne
7. Maroon 5, Hands All Over
8. Various, NOW 39
