The Grammy Museum To Host The Drop: Johnny Gill Presented By American Express On September 20, 2011
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Johnny Gill Official Website) The GRAMMY Museum is honored to welcome R&B sensation Johnny Gill to the Clive Davis Theater for a special discussion and performance on Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Gill will be releasing his first solo album in 16 years, "Still Winning," on October 11 via J Skillz Records/Notifi Records. His current single In The Mood is currently #9 on Billboard's Urban Adult Chart. "Still Winning" features GRAMMY Award winning producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Bryan Michael Cox, Wyclef Jean and Troy Taylor

Gill will sit down with GRAMMY Foundation Vice President Scott Goldman to share his memories of New Edition and LSG and to discuss his brand new record before participating in an audience Q&A and performing a few songs.

Singing sensation Johnny Gill began his rise to fame as a teen star before being invited to join New Edition. He broke out as a solo artist with back-to-back #1 R&B classics My, My, My and Rub You the Right Way. Gill then joined Gerald Levert and Keith Sweat to form LSG and the trio cranked out a multi platinum debut and a hit follow up. In addition to numerous tours and appearances with LSG, New Edition (recently performing at the Essence Music Festival) and as a solo artist, Gill has also been part of Heads of State, a group formed by Gill, Ralph Tresvant and Bobby Brown.

The program regularly features award-winning and cutting-edge musicians live and onstage. Taking place in the Museum's state-of-the-art Clive Davis Theater, which screens exhibit-related films during regular Museum hours, the program provides guests unprecedented access to their favorite musicians.
